This Is "My Last Chance"
With everything I have done in my life, I have failed time and time again to stay and get sober. Drugs and alcohol led me to being incarcerated multiple times and led me to the point of overdose. Its wasn't until 9 years ago I was in Theo Lacy County jail praying on my bunk for God to help me and I promised him that I would stay sober forever if he gave me My Last Chance. I fell asleep on my bunk with the bible on my chest from reading a random verse. 20 minutes roughly go by and the guards in the bubble called my bunk to roll it up to go home. I knew from that moment it was a direct sign from God that he was accepting my prayer and allowing me the chance to stay sober forever one last time. That was 9 years ago and today I am proud to say I have kept that promise and have been clean and sober since. No drugs no alcohol have been in my system since a little before my release date. I have been blessed with a life that I thought I didn't deserve. Blessed with people around me that I thought would never accept me. I take every day one day at a time, but I know that as long as I stay sober today God has got my back.
